What are puppy training pads and why do you need them?

As the name suggests, puppy training pads are multi-layer pee-absorbing training aids that absorb the canine’s excretion (urine basically, but can work for solid waste as well) and prevent the pets from soiling the carpets and floors. Also sometimes referred to as puppy pee pads or dog pee pads, these items are a perfect training aid to assist dog owners in housebreaking a new pet.

Puppy training pads are available in multiple types (disposable vs washable) and sizes and not all puppy training pads are made equal.

Most disposable training pads have five or more layers to absorb the liquid waste and have odor neutralizers to minimize the pee odor. Most training pads are even sprayed with natural pheromones which act as attractants for the pet. And if you are looking for an even better odor control and absorption, there are black carbon-activated (or charcoal) puppy training pads. These pads are generally costlier than standard dog training pads.
